“Jesus has a plan; he is in control of the parade and the delay. We want salvation now and the celebration to begin today. But sometimes the colt goes around in circles, and we have to start again tomorrow. There is no doubt that salvation, resurrection, and Easter morning will come, but they come in God’s time, not ours.” – Matthew A. Rich, Presbyterian Outlook
This Sunday is Palm Sunday which marks Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem. It is also the beginning of Holy Week! We will celebrate jointly with the Brazilian Bible Fellowship, Worshiping at 10:30 AM in the Sanctuary. Children will process into the service waving Palms; Jr. Church will meet after the Children’s message. A time for fellowship will be held immediately following worship in the Gathering Area. The Youth Group will meet with Pastor Blake and Dale in the youth room for donuts, discussion, and discernment. Grab a warm beverage at the coffee social and join us! See you there after worship at 11:45 AM.
Our Music Director, Rob Keene, will host a session on “Getting to Know the Music” for Holy Week. All are invited to attend this Sunday, March 24 at 12 noon in the Gathering Space or Tuesday evening, March 26, at 7:30 PM in the Sanctuary. This is a wonderful opportunity to have a lesson in liturgical music from our very own music professional!
Nametags are now available for all members and frequent attenders on a display board in the Lower Narthex. Please wear your nametag during worship, and return the nametag to the board before you depart the church. Elders and Deacons are more than welcome to wear their Church Officer Nametags. This is especially helpful for visitors- and for new pastors! -The Membership & Outreach Committee
